This section will only focus on original Cabbage Patch Kids artwork I have picked up. These pieces were used (possibly some unproduced) by American Toy & Furniture Company. They roughly date around 1990-1993. This artwork would be seen on the furniture that AT&FC produced. They could be on desks, toy chests, cabinets and even a lamp probably. The pictures I have taken do not just to these pieces justice. The artwork is extrememly colorful, well detailed and colored in light and shadows. If you are possibly interested in them...I may accept offers. Since I do not know how to catagorize them, I will place them one after the other on this HTML.
The above piece is 14" 1/2 x 13" 3/4. The piece says it was to be used for a side panel of furniture. The black bunny like shadows are on a cel that is aligned to the color artwork. |
This piece is 13" 1/2 x 14". The picture is of a baby CPK sleeping while holding a bunny, and while to others float around. The red overlay is on on a cel that is aligned to the color artwork. |
This piece is 13" 3/4 x 14" 3/4. The picture is of a baby CPK getting his/her diaper changed by a CPK bunny. The red overlay is on on a cel that is aligned to the color artwork. |
This piece is 8" 1/4 x 11" 1/2. The picture is of a baby CPK playing with a CPK bunny. There is only a tracing paper over the art with some size numbers on it. |
This piece is 11" x 11" 1/2. This is a extremely nice piece. The front has a tracing paper with a little color tracing of the logo in color, and many side notes of color swatchesand size information. This piece is also dated 1990. When this tracing paper is lifted, there are two cels. The first cel has the Cabbag Patch Logo in black (later to be positioned above the piece). There also is a red shadowing like the others that only covers the art. Also shown on the cel with the red shadowing is the actual color swatches and names to be used. Then of course, lastly is the actual artwork which is extremely color full and grand. This piece may have been the logo piece appeared on all the furniture produced. |
