The Maladroids were all based upon original Takatoku designs. These are all Macross (Robotech) or Orguss toys. You better know what Macross / Robotech is (Or I'll have to smack you). Orguss was a show created from the creator of Macross in the early 80's in Japan. They all have larger versions that transform better and are made of metal and plastic. Select bought these smaller molds and rights, while Bandai got the others. Bandai in conjunction with Hasbro brought out Whirl & Roadbuster for Transformers which are exactly the same as these, just bigger and better. The Mini Motorized Maladroids were just the original three Macross valkyries. All they did is pull the Macross symbol off the wings. They are quite nice and cool being Super Deformed. I'm not sure if 3 or 4 were produced for the Convertors line. |
