Tonka introduced the Boomers in the final year of Gobots. They were possibly designed for another purpose because they are marked 1984 and were issued in 1986. Tonka walked a fine line with placing creative effort and monies on these oddball robotic Gobots. These are Gobots, but not the Gobots that everyone is used to.
