ARII released these figures in 1998 to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of Macross.
Each figure is poseable (to a certain degree, depending on the accessories added) and comes with a gun, a small figurine of a Macross character, and a card. The card is two sided and printed on a flimsy stock. The figurines are chealply made and painted, and have problems standing. These items were most likely added to the package to justify a higher price tag.
Overall the Battloid and Gerwalk figures are pretty nice. They are painted well and have some good detail. While they are no substitute for the 1/55 scale transformable Valkyrie toys, I feel they make a great addition to my collection.
